How do I
check my mail?
|
Click on the
mail tab on the
menu bar to go
to your mail
pages. You new
mail will be
highlighted,
click on the
subject of the
message to read
your new mail,
or the username
to view the
sender`s
profile.

How do I know
if I have new
mail?
|
You are
automatically
sent mail alerts
if you have a
new message
waiting for you
on the site. You
new mail will be
highlighted in
your mail box.

Why do I have
2 mailboxes?
|
One of the
features of the
site that we
offer to members
for free is
mailbox
filtering. Your
mailbox filters
are to ensure
that mail from
members you
really want to
hear from is
sent to your
primary mailbox,
with your junk
mail being
filtered into
your secondary
mailbox. You may
still be
interested in
your junk mail,
but this method
ensures that the
mail you are
most interested
in is filtered
into your inbox.
Your mail will
never be
automatically
deleted from
your mailboxes.

How do I edit
my mailbox
filters?
|
Select the
mailbox filters
option within
the mail tab.
From here, you
can specific
member types and
other factors to
filter by, for
instance, you
may wish for
mail from men to
go to your junk
mail, and mail
from women to go
to your inbox.
There are
several factors
which you can
filter by, and
these can be
revised as often
as you like. By
filtering your
mail you will
not be deleting
anything, this
is purely
dividing it
between your two
mailboxes.

How do I set
auto replies in
my mailboxes?
|
Within you mail
page there are
links to set
your primary
mailbox reply
and your
secondary
mailbox reply
separately. You
may like to use
these to say to
your `junk`
mailers, `Thank
you for your
mail, but if you
don`t hear from
me in a few days
I have probably
decided that we
will not be
compatible`. You
may like to tell
potential
matches that you
are will be
personally
responding to
your messages in
the next couple
of days, or
specify the
times you are
usually in the
chat room.
Please ensure
that you are
always polite in
your auto
replies, even if
you are not
interested, it
is always good
manners and kind
to politely
decline any
further
correspondence.
Abusive auto
replies may
result in your
profile being
removed.

How do I avoid
timewasters
emailing me?
|
To avoid
timewasters
sending you
email set your
mail filters to
hear from
premium members
only. Select the
`Set matches
criteria` within
the mail tab.
You can then
select the
option to just
hear from
premium members
- it is a lot
more likely that
a member who is
premium is not a
timewaster.

How do I view
my sent mail?
|
To view your
sent mail,
select the sent
mail option with
the mail page.
You will be
shown all the
messages you
have sent to
other members,
with the most
recent listed
first.

How do I know
if my sent mail
has been read?
|
Mail that has
been read will
no longer be
highlighted. If
the recipient
has not yet
opened their
mail it will
remain
highlighted
until they have.

Why is no one
replying to my
messages?
|
Members won`t
respond to
profiles and
messages that
don`t have any
content. Make
sure you have a
well written and
full ad
description. The
best
descriptions are
full of
information and
unique details
about you and
your preference.
Members avoid
one-liners. Have
a lot of media
on your profile
and not just a
"cock shot" -
try including
pictures from
parties you have
been to or some
things that
speaks about who
you are. If you
are a premium
member it is
more likely you
will be regarded
as a genuine
member and are
therefore taken
more seriously.
Respond to each
member`s profile
individually,
don`t write the
same for all the
ads, and look at
what they are
looking for.

How do I send
media
attachments?
|
Reply to a mail
of click the
send mail link
in a profile in
the usual way.
Within your mail
message is a
link to add
attachments.
Select this
option and from
here you will be
able to select
specific files
from your
private media
folder to attach
to your message.
You can also
upload files
directly from
your PC to you
private media
folder from
here, and then
attach them to
your message.
Private media
does not go
through the
checking process
that public
media does so
you will be able
to upload new
images and send
them instantly
to other
members.

How do I view
media
attachments?
|
If you have been
sent a media
attachment,
click on the
link to open the
attachment. If
you are not a
premium member
you will not be
able to view
your media
attachments.

How do I know
if I`ve been
sent a media
attachment?
|
Your mail will
appear with a
paperclip icon,
which means that
you have
received a media
attachment.

Why did I
receive a mail
alert when I
don`t appear to
have new mail?
|
You will always
receive a mail
when you have
been sent a mail
alert. This can
be affected by
speed however,
in that you may
retrieve your
on-site mail
before you have
even been sent
an email alert.
This can occur
if there are
speed problems
with your
mailserver. You
may receive your
email alert a
day or two late,
even though you
have already
read the
message.

What is the
mail alerts
console?
|
The mail alerts
console is a
small
application that
allows you to
receive instant
mail alerts when
you are online,
without having
to be logged
into the site.
To use this
feature, you
select the link
text and right
click. Select
`copy shortcut`
and then right
click on your
desktop. Select
`paste shortcut`
and you will see
a browser icon
on your desktop.
To use the mail
alerts console,
simply double
click on your
new icon. Log in
to the console
and you will be
alerted when you
have new mail on
the site. For
your discretion,
you can hide the
site name and
logo on the
console. You can
use the console
whenever you are
online without
having to log in
to the site.

Can I delete
mail?
|
Yes. Open the
mailbox from
which you wish
to delete
messages. Select
the mails you
wish to delete
and click the
delete button.

Can I retrieve
deleted mail?
|
No, once your
mail is deleted
you cannot
retrieve it.
Please ensure
that you do not
delete mail that
you may want to
see again later.

Can I turn my
mail alerts off?
|
Yes. If you do
not wish to
receive an alert
every time you
receive a
message in your
on-site mail
box, you can
switch your mail
alerts off. This
option is
available within
your mail tab.

Can I opt in
or out of
promotional mail
alerts?
|
Yes. There is an
option within
you mail tab to
opt in or out of
promotional
emails. You can
switch this on
and off whenever
you like.

What if I'm
not receiving
emails from this
site?
|
You must provide
a valid email
address which
can receive an
identity check
email, in order
to register for
this system.
Today many
e-mail providers
have very
protected email
systems. Since
our website
sends out a
significant
number of
e-mails, as we
have over
1,000,000
members,
sometimes the
emails can be
misconstrued as
mass junk mail,
meaning it can
be placed in a
junk mail box.
To make sure you
receive emails
notifying you of
new messages and
contacts please
please follow
the instruction
that refers to
your email
provider from
the list below.
You can change
your mail
options at any
time once you
are registered
to allow you to
decide how
regularly you
are updated.
Hotmail
1. Click on the
"Options" link
in the top right
corner of your
inbox page.
2. Choose the
"Junk E-Mail
Protection" mail
option that
comes first.
3. Choose the
"Safe List"
option.
4. Enter "mail@theadulthub.com"
into the address
box.
5. Click on the
“Add” button.
Yahoo! Mail
1. In your Inbox
page select
“Address” tab
and then click
on the “Add
Contact” button.
2. Enter mail@theadulthub.com
into the
“E-mail” field.
3. Click on
“Save” at the
bottom, then
choose “Done”.

Online (AOL)
1. Form your AOL
Mailbox, select
the Mail Tab
menu, and then
choose “Address
Book”.
2. Click on the
“Add” icon at
the bottom of
the pop-up
window.

to the "Other -
Email" field.
4. Choose the
“Primary E-mail”
box.

Network
1. Click on the
“Junk e-mail”

inbox page.

Guard Settings
links choose the
third one “Safe

window fill out

1. Save the

in any address
books and/or
safe lists with
your e-mail

provider.

you spam, junk
and blocked
e-mail folders
